A Crown Of Briar Roses

This work presents royal portraits of five of England’s queens: Mary Tudor, Elizabeth I, Anne, Victoria and Elizabeth II. Majestic and regal, these are thoughtful pieces for two-part upper voices and Piano accompaniment by MarianLines and Betty Roe.

A practical work that will bring enjoyment to all groups, it was written for Merton Schools Music Association and first performed by them in 1977 the jubilee year of Queen Elizabeth II.
