Eric Ewazen’s THE CYCLES OF TIME is a vibrant duo for Bass Trombone and Percussion, exploring distinct sonic and emotional realms in each movement. The first is a searching and exciting Andante and Allegro with marimba; the second, a moving cantabile solo for the Bass Trombone, with cymbals and low drums lending a mysterious and ancient atmosphere; and the third, a buoyant and joyous finale with vibraphone.
