Fantasía Sonata No. 3 op. 26

The tonality of A Major has been considered by composers as one of the tonal areas less favorable to the deployment of the possibilities of the guitar. Jaume Torrent, in his Fantasia-Sonata No. 3, treats this tonality with a great mastery of the tonal language without forcing the instrument with inappropriate technical demands, while at the same time discovering new guitaristic aspects.

He has constructed the main motifs of each movement from the same intervallic cell (Do-Si natural -Fa) and has elaborated the thematic designs in such a way that they can assimilate varied harmonies and audacious modulatory processes, thus managing to transform this traditionally arduous tonality into a flexible platform at the service of his inspired creativity.
